The Woman Beneath The Skin

A three-week experience

For women who intellectually
know themselves
but want a deeper relationship with their bodies.

A note from Jessica

For ten years, I’ve held women’s circles around the world.

I’ve spent thirteen years devoted to somatics and psychology – self-taught, through study, through circles, and through my own body as the longest-running experiment I know.

I built a somatics-based practice, guiding clients into deep states of safety and relaxation – with my hands, breath, voice, and presence.

I have lived this work myself for over a decade. I was the woman who knew herself intellectually, inside and out. Every pattern named. Every wound understood. And still, somehow, repeating the same cycles.

What changed wasnt more insight. It was learning to listen to my body. To notice the sensation before the story. The contraction before the explanation. The truth before talking myself out of it.

That shift is what let me stop people-pleasing. What let me find relationships that actually fit. What let me be fully myself, without shame, and without performance to be liked, accepted, or belonging.

I used to coach self-love and relationships. Now I do this. Because I believe the body knows first, and the mind catches up later, if we let it.

This is the first time I am offering The Woman Beneath The Skin as an in-person experience. Eight women, three weeks, in Lagos. I’d love for you to be one of them.

This is

an invitation

into

a

more

intimate relationship

with

being alive.

Have you ever noticed…

..the tiny contraction in your belly when you say yes, because you really wanted to say no?

...how quickly you reach for your phone, your work, or someone else’s needs, whenever something uncomfortable arises within?

...the moment you leave yourself to keep someone else comfortable?

...how exhausting it is to argue with what you're feeling?

...and how often you talk yourself out of what you already know?

Listen

Your body has been speaking to you your entire life.

The question isn't whether it's speaking.

It’s whether you're listening.

For three weeks we choose to listen.
Each day is an invitation to relate to yourself.

Not just in the room.

In ordinary life.

While making breakfast.

While reaching for your phone.

While saying yes.

While saying no.

While looking in the mirror.

While touching your own skin.

While sitting in silence.

Practice

Every week we'll gather for 2½ hours.

Some of that time will be spent in conversation.

Some of it moving.

All of it simply noticing.

Throughout the three weeks, you'll be invited to:

• Spend time in front of a mirror, observing what happens before you try to change what you see.

• Slow down enough to notice the subtle ways your body communicates through tension, contraction, breath, posture, and sensation.

• Explore gentle movement that brings attention into your hips, chest, feet, and whole body — not to perform, but to notice.

• Stay present with moments that would normally be interrupted by distraction, explanation, or self-judgment.

• Practice saying yes and no with awareness, noticing what changes in your body before, during, and after.

• Reflect through guided writing that helps you distinguish between what your body is communicating and the story your mind immediately tells about it.

• Take practical action between sessions, bringing this work into ordinary moments of your everyday life.

These three weeks ask you to slow down. To be present.

This is the practice of learning to notice yourself before you automatically override yourself.

Notice

Your truth

Not someone else's.

Not the version that keeps the peace.

The one you already know before your mind explains it away.

Presence

Remain with yourself instead of unconsciously leaving when life becomes uncomfortable.

Sensuality

Not performance. Not sexuality.

A more intimate relationship with your senses, your body, and the experience of being alive.
